Marya’s voice has been described as “Freddie Mercury does The Nutcracker” – reaching across lifetimes, holding grief and joy in the same breath.   She is a carrier of story, a weaver of sound, and a devoted chaser of waterfalls.

Founder of Temple of the Muse, mentor in voice & songcraft, and creator of immersive vocal alchemy sanctuaries around the world.  Her recent release Underground River has inspired international water ceremonies,  intergenerational art installations, and a ceremonial film honouring the waters of our world.

Marya is a bard, storyteller, and embodied muse. Her cinematic folk music takes the listener on imaginative journeys through the depths of the soul, paradoxical epiphanies and opulent visions. Her songs are inspired by alchemy, mysticism, reverence, and the etchings of longing across the dark night sky.

Marya Is also a key member of Starling Arrow, an all-star cast of spirit-folk songstresses featuring Leah Song and Chloe Smith of Rising Appalachia, Ayla Nereo, and Tina Malia. The members of the female-fronted supergroup share a common devotion for the love of songwriting, the power of music as a sanctuary, and the deep joy of encountering the muse.
