Anthony Pfluke has been called Maui’s hottest new talent.
He plays Hawaiian, contemporary, reggae-influenced, and his own original songs, and whether playing for an intimate wedding ceremony or a festival audience, his performances are both exhilarating and inspiring. He accompanies his moving vocals with adroit musicianship on ‘ukulele and slack key guitar, bringing a full sound with his live looping.
In the last year, he recorded a new, all-original album, We Will Rise, singles from which can be heard in rotation on KPOA and Q103. He was also featured at the first Drive In Concert series at the MACC, as well as other MACC dates, including a livestream from the Castle Theater.
Previously, he played weekly at venues such as Nalu’s and Fleetwoods. He was commissioned by Kimokeo Kapahulehua to write a song for the launch of Mo‘okiha O Pi‘ilani, Maui’s own traditional Hawaiian voyaging canoe. He is one of the Aloha ambassadors for the Lei of Aloha and has released a single of his “Ku’u Lei Aloha,” the first of two songs he’s written to accompany the Lei of Aloha on its various journeys of healing around the world.
